Semester 2 officially started today, this time around the focus is on 3D techniques like knit, weave and binding.
The new semester means a new hunt for inspiration. I’ve been considering looking at trees and forests, I took some fantastic pictures last year in Portglenone forest with light streaming through the trees and I’ve wanted to focus a project on it for ages, I think now is the time!
With semester one over I think it’s time to tidy my home studio. I’ve let it get a bit dishevelled the past month or so due to uni deadlines but now I’ve got a bit of free time and a new supply of fabric the room NEEDS to be organised.
That’s it, the first semester of my 2nd year is over!
The body of work was all handed in last week and I got the results today and I’m now off for a week or two. So with this new found free time I have for a week or so I’m planning on getting back into properly writing my blog.
First on the agenda is to finally get around to posting pictures of the work I have just handed in, it has dominated my life lately!
